I was charged by $680, 6 hours for moving a one bedroom apartment, for a distance of 7 minutes’ drive within the city, and both apartment buildings have elevators. Facts: 1. Misleading information. Hi Melody, Sorry to hear about your experience. We deal with 200 plus clients on a weekly basis and as you can see from our countless other positive reviews and feedback, we are not in the business of deliberately making life difficult for our customers. Unfortunately parking was limited and the crew had no choice but to park further out which added to the time. The crew worked late into the night to ensure that your job was completed. We use a payment system called stripe which is used by thousands of companies around the world. All payments are secure and to date we have never had one issue. We provide the option of paying via eft transfer, credit card, or paying over the phone. Regardless of everything that occurred, as a mark of courtesy, we did end up doing the job for you at cost price and refunded you $288.75 (a total of 2.5hrs), which you have since received into your account. Given that the amount was refunded and the fact that our guys worked late into the night, time which you ended up not paying for, I find it a bit puzzling that you would then go and leave this feedback. Nevertheless, once again thanks for your feedback, we will use it to better improve our processes. All the best with your future moves. Instamove Team

Hi Justin, Thank you for your review. Your job was scheduled for 12-2:30pm arrival, the crew arrived at 12:45pm and on time. Like any 4T job, we estimated a total of 2-3.5hrs, your job was completed in 2.5hrs so well within the range. You paid $221.34 for the service. For anyone person carrying out a move, I would say that is money well spent! Your job was the second job for the day, and the crew would have worked from early morning, it is perfectly within reason for someone to have a drink on route or a quick bite, you were not charged for that time. In fact some clients are appreciative of the effort the guys put in (its not a easy job) and offer food/beverages or encourage the crew to stop and refill. It would have been much appreciated, if you had called us and let us know of your concerns so we could have rectified it. Felt the service itself was good - moved my stuff without any issues. However I have an issue with their team not disclosing there is an additional $50 booking fee NOT included in the quoted cost. Even when I asked if there were any additional charges, they said no and took my deposit which I later found out was an admin fee not included.
