Hi Catherine, Thank you for your review. I'm not sure why you would write that as I was the one that suggested putting blankets on your balustrade to protect your couch. On time & good attitude. Sean showed an incredible amount of care & professionalism, great communication,very careful, set up rooms & appliances (even adjusting feet), made sure every item and box we're going in the right place, worked hard solidly through the day and tried to minimise damage/impact to the walls. His offsider didn't seem as experienced & didn't show the same level of care but was friendly & worked hard so I'm sure will improve with experience. I'm happy with the move, it came in on budget without any damage from what I can see. I would use them again and recommend them.

I'd highly recommend S&K Removals. They turned up on time (actually 25 mins early) and got on with the job. Our apartment was on the 2nd floor without a lift and across a courtyard, meaning it wasn't the easiest job - but the guys did a fantastic job without a fuss. They were friendly and professional throughout, and I trusted them with our belongings. The actual move turned out to be the least stressful thing about moving house, so I would definitely use S&K again. Thanks guys!

Hi Helen, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. There was no issue with administration, you didn't tell us about all the extra furniture & boxes prior to your move day. It was only when my guys pointed it out that it was brought to our attention. It is very rare that we request extra money on top of our quotes. We asked for minimal money to cover the guys wages for the extra time spent loading & unloading the truck but you refused and got upset with us. We generally don't mind people having a few extra boxes or small things that may have been forgotten from the list (and don't charge for this). However you had 5+ big bulky items plus several boxes which added a bit of time to the guys already long day. We recommend in future double checking your move list prior to the day to avoid any discrepancies. Thanks, Sean & Kylee

The move went ok, with the guys arriving on time and working hard. I was disappointed that despite multiple requests to be careful with one particular chest of drawers they were dragged on the floor leaving behind a deep gouge. The staff had even joked throughout the move that they would probably forget, hence why every time I saw them with those drawers I reminded them. I did think it was strange that at the end they rushed out without barely saying goodbye after being so friendly throughout the day - then I went upstairs and noticed the damage. However, what was even more disappointing was the response from Sean. Refusal to take responsibility for the damage unless I can show clear photographic evidence demonstrating it was them and stated that his staff had denied it therefore it must have been me. Recommendation - if you use this company follow the staff with a video camera.

The summary is that our move was a very successful and reasonably priced operation (even though many other respondents had lower hourly rates). The communications from S&K were excellent - very helpful and quick to respond. The guys turned up on time and were friendly but respectful. They worked hard and quickly to get our stuff into the new place and had to overcome some difficulties in the process. The one detraction from the experience was finding that one/some of our boxes had been packed into the truck upside down or on its side. This caused an oil leak from an olive oil bottle, which had a pouring spout rather than a bottle top. I entirely accept that it's up to us to pack things securely, but suggest that few people pack with the expectation of boxes being packed upside down! Anyway, I offer this constructive comment for professional development, rather than a complaint and S&K has assured me this will be passed on. Overall, our experience with S&K Removals was very positive and we'd recommend them to others.

They came early on the pick up day which was great, but then very late and without really telling us anything on the delivery date. They damaged our bikes, not a big deal but still annoying. Also during the initial agreement we were told a price but they ended up charging us $100 more, saying that on their system that was the price accepted. We showed them the email were we agreed on a lower price but they didn't care. So overall not overly impressed with the service but the delivery guys were really nice and helpful and we appreciated that.

They were very good. Their rate was competitive but I had to be flexible with my dates. They were very responsive throughout the entire process. Nothing was lost and there was no damage to my items, except for some minor scuff marks on the washing machine and three damaged boxes but the contents were unharmed. They did not damage any walls or doorways on either end of the move. They were all fluent English speakers, were very friendly, and keen to chat. They managed to get my large fridge down six flights of stairs via the narrow stairwell without damage - what a remarkable effort! I'm sure the mover hurt himself in the process but wow. I did my own packing, bubble wrapping and shrink wrapping, so not sure if they usually offer those kind of services. I will be recommending them to all my colleagues currently working interstate.
