Established in 1994, Twin City Removals have been an integral part of the removalist industry here in Townsville and North Queensland for 25 years.
Now, as the new owners, we are embarking on a journey we hope will make the previous founding owner very proud.
As we move forward with this successful business, along with a slight name change to, Twin Cities Removals & Storage, we now offer;
~ (Flood Free) storage facilities at our depot in South Townsville
~ We have 1 x 50m3 & 2 x 60m3 Pantech furniture trucks, a Container trailer and a Car trailer
~ Sell ALL removal packing materials and boxes to the public (online or in person)
~ We will travel to any state and any town/city Australia wide to pick-up or deliver our clients furniture
~ Offer our guarantee that once loaded on our trucks your furniture does not come off until it reaches your new home, unless it's going into storage
~ Indoor to indoor service, including taking your furniture inside your home
~ Offer an "after hours & weekend Removal or Pre-packing Services"

As of November 2021, out of the 600 clients we have moved since taking over the business in July 2019, over 156 of those clients were Find-a-mover clients that we have moved all over Australia since we joined Find-a-mover in November 2019.

Customer failed to disclose that 4 men were needed to complete the move, which also included the biggest & heaviest upright piano the guys had ever seen before. This piano required 4 men to move it. Customer was told it would not be possible to safely move the piano until a 4th man could help out on another day and that there would be additional costs, but the rest of the furniture was moved successfully without damage, and to the customers satisfaction. Customer did not contact the office to confirm a new date with us and also did not want to pay for the additional costs of returning to the job 57klms from the CBD. This all could have been avoided had the customer been upfront with us in the first place and requested 4 men.

Called the day before to arrange a time that was the only communication I received once I had paid the deposit despite emailing for an estimated time so we could make our own accommodation plans. Explained I had a couple of antique items and the guy advised he would help wrap. In the morning they arrived with no packing boxes or even tape and had to use mine. We are a professional company!
We were in constant communication before and after you paid your deposit, in fact on one occasion my admin spoke to you for over 45mins on the phone 3 days before pick-up, there were also text messages sent to you and phone calls made by our driver during his trip down to Sarina and then down to Tamborine Mountain to keep you informed of the delays on the roads.
I know my driver, who is autistic, he has this ritual about having constant contact with his clients (you're giving false information on this subject).
We did not have any packing materials onboard as your job was not a pre-pack, so no packing was loaded on the truck.
Yes, they arrived later than they first thought but again, we were in constant contact with you.
We don't have a van, it is a truck and you were the one that said, "I don't want my furniture to be wet, so park in the driveway for the night and you can unload in the morning if it's not raining". As for your last incorrect statement, when my driver turned up in Sarina and looked at your belongings in the shed and house, he said to you that, "AT A GUESS YOU MAY GO OVER YOUR ALLOCATED 30M3, WON'T KNOW UNTIL IT'S LOADED, IT LOOKS LIKE ABOUT 30 TO 35M3" you asked how much more if it goes over and he said, "probably another $500 to $1000, again, I won't know until I've finished loading". Your belongings came to 30m3 so there was no more to pay.
You also received a veterans discount as well, which we give out of the kindness of our hearts and this is how you treat us? with lies!
Not one item was wet, damaged or broken and yet you give us a 3/5 for care of property.

Sir, I think you are being a bit unfair with your review. I think you have us confused with the other removalist who moved your furniture from Biloela around the same time and you told us they were a day late. Our communication was spot on and I personally spoke to you and your wife on numerous occasions throughout your move. Great care was taken with your furniture (as we did not damage any furniture), you refused to take direction from our driver by letting them do their job, which resulted in you damaging your own furniture. And our service was as described... Everything we offered you "service wise" was delivered to you 100%. We even granted your request of delivering your furniture earlier than when we had arranged, which put our guys out on their schedule, but we obliged. We were punctual actually, delivering a day earlier than we expected.

From the very first call to the end Twin Cities were really lovely people to deal with. The only reason why Care of Goods isn't 5 - honestly, I don't think it was their fault - they had another customer over fill their side of the truck which meant a lot of the items had to be squished. The team were great to deal with, it is a family business and they go the extra mile to make the moving process less stressful. The team spent hours packing the truck and helping us with loose items or those items we didn’t know how to pack correctly, bubble wrapping and pulling apart or creating new boxes.
They told us exactly when the truck would be at our destination.

The communication from the office ladies in the lead up to my move was excellent.
The guys arrived on time the day of pickup and communicated well about any changes to time for drop off at the new house.
The guys took great care in loading the truck with my belongings and had no problem with placing the items in my specified rooms in the new house when unloading.
Nothing was broken or damaged in the process either.
I would definitely move with Twin Cities again in future.
