Scott posted a furniture removalist job on the 17th of Jan 2017, moving from Hawthorn VIC to Footscray VIC. Scott selected asky logistics pty ltd for the job
After receiving my confirmation email from your website saying that the job was booked and a team member from Asky would be in touch with me the following day (Fri 20th Jan), it took a phone call from me at 5pm to speak to someone. The lady then said that nothing was booked in (despite the email from your website telling me other wise) and that I could not have my goods delivered until the Sunday (the day after my request). Asky's own company description on their website states "no hidden charges". I mentioned when asking for a quote that I was up a flight of stairs. My quote was for $85p/h. On the phone I was told that the guys may need to charge a bit more if it's difficult. Hidden charge. At the end of my initial phone call I was told that they will call me again on the Saturday just to confirm everything was locked in for the following day. No phone call. It got to 1:45pm on move day (scheduled to arrive at 2pm) when again I had to make a call to find out what was going on. I was told they may be running a little late and they'd call when they were 30mins away, which they did. Removalists arrived, inspected my stairwell and announced they would each need $40p/h additional. That's a substantial price rise from what was quoted. Essentially doubled! It is not a difficult stairwell. After an overly long amount of time moving everything onto the truck, we arrived at the destination, everything was unloaded without a problem, then came the bill. $85p/h (no hidden charges remember) for just under 3 hours of work equals $255 in my book. $408 is what I was charged. Tired, frustrated and over the whole debacle, I just signed and paid. I wasn't offered a receipt, and when I asked for one I was only given the option to take a photo, which when I looked again showed that I had signed to pay for $328. Absolutely shifty! I can't recall being so disappointed with a company. I had no problem at all with the service provided by your website, but I would strongly recommend removing Asky from your database, because many people may simply confuse them as an extension of your own business. They were absolutely terrible!
